I took almost 2 hours to finish cleaning, chopping, dicing and mixing these tiny rolls of Ngoh Hiang.
Manage to do up about 20 rolls and we finished almost 10 rolls today! Gosh! I promise i will appreciate Ngoh Hiang more now after it! Sooooooo many ingredients needed to make this awesome roll!
Mix the above with salt, sesame oil & pepper. Lastly, Add 1 egg & mix properly.
Cut beancurd sheet into desired size. Wipe lightly with cloth to remove excess salt. Scoop the above mixture onto the smaller sheet and wrap.
Steam for 8 mins. Open and remove cover after an additional 4 mins.
Brush wu xiang with oil and AF using grill pan.180 degrees@ 8 mins first.
Flip wu xiang over and brush with a little oil and AF another 5 to 8 mins.
The family requested for 面粉粿 again and here we go! Made from scratch on the broth and dough! Yums!!! Best combine with the chilli gonna from whampoa!

Ingredients for Noodle Dough [serves 5]
300 gm plain flour
1 tbsp tapioca flour [optional]
1 tsp salt
1 egg - lightly beaten
2 tbsp cooking oil
150 ml water [as required]
Ingredients for Mee Hoon Kueh Soup
50 gm anchovies - rinsed and drained
150-200 gm minced meat
3 dried mushrooms - soaked and cut strips
a bunch of sweet leaves [mani chye] or choy sum
1.5 litres water
1 cube ikan bilis stock granules
salt and pepper to taste
some chopped garlic
some chopped spring onions or coriander leaves
- Air fry the anchovies with sesame oil which makes them really crispy.
- I uses PPC to create the soup broth. "Soup mode" for 30 minutes KPT.
- Try to pinch the dough and stretch it to as thin layer as possible.
- Added 鲍贝 and Roasted Pork for more flavors.

I do not need any fanciful celebration but just the comfort of food, the closeness of family and the time spent together. This year is slightly lousy as i needed to work because i am unable to apply for leave. PapaTan decided to come and pick me up from work and bring me to feast at Crab in the bag ! :)

Our daily routine usually is where papaTan picks me up from work, we have dinner either at Vivocity or Rivervale mall and we will proceed to pick Morris up from GrandparentsKwan's place.
Today is a little different where papaTan needs to head in to Sentosa to settle some matter and he proposed having our dinner inside Sentosa. The last visit to Sentosa was to go to the Sea aquarium with Morris which was really fun. I feel that STB manage to create Sentosa to be really different from the city.
We decided to head to Wavehouse for dinner since there is 1-1 main course and reviews that the food is pretty decent! Been seeing so many friends floriding and its my first to see it right before me. Spoken to papaTan's friend and he mentioned that we can consider letting Morris to try when he is about 3 years old? More of a height limitation as he needs go meet the minimal height of 93cm (i think)
We ordered the ribeye steaks for 1-1 main course and added ala carte nachos as that is one of the signature snack of Wavehouse. Was tempted to try the lamb but papaTan doesn't eat that. The mastercard promotion requires both main course to be identical so to entitle the 1-1 promotion. Since we are both steak lovers, we thought so be it!

The durian feast organized by NYK's SRC committee this year is held under the office building. Apparently, they have ordered close to about 200 kg of durian for consumption and they are seriously very yummy. I was kind of sick and i had to control my intake of durian as it is really heaty. I took about 5 seeds and i actually feel satisfied from eating them!
We decided to bring Morris out for dinner session at Vivocity since we are more comfortable of bringing him out with us nowadays. In additional, we gets to celebrate Christmas season. To be honest, it was a huge mistake to decide to head to Vivocity as the crowd is way tooooo horrible, definitely a no no especially we have to push the stroller around.
Decided to have an early dinner at Sushi Tei to avoid the dinner crowd and we were right to do so. No queue and we get a spacious seat where we get to keep our stroller by our table. Been missing my favorite avocado salad with sesame dressing and the sashimi! yum yum yum~ SHIOKNESS overload.
Glad that Morris behaves himself and give us some good couple-time. :)
Headed to Nex for dinner and we decided to try Hot Tomato, the westerns are served together with Spaghetti! Taste of food is good and portion is huge as well! Happy to be able to have some "couple" time with Paul Sir before the arrival of BabyTan and heard that it is good for me to be walking around quite a bit as it will ease the labor process.
Decided on an impromptu lunch session with SIL & MIL at Two Bakers. Brought MIL out of house to meet Irene at the new cafe which Irene has previously bought the awesome muffins. Feel very comfortable by the simple cafe decoration definitely a good place to chill and relax. Love the Croque Madam but personally feel that it is a dish that is pretty easy to make! Perhaps i will try making for Paul Sir soon. :)
The man decided to meet me at vivo for our dinner to kickstart eve of PH. Picked Thai food because we can smell the aroma just by standing outside the restaurant. The tom yam seafood soup spicy level is superb! I can feel the burning sensation in my stomach & i begin to wonder if babytan feels it too!
Met up with some of the Nov Mommies at Kat's House for unpacking of the TB loots. This is also the first time that i have tried to consolidate orders for so many of us. A total purchase over $2000 worth of loots are all here today! Glad that many of the ladies enjoyed the session and also, enjoy the items that they have purchased. :)
Just perhaps there won't be a next time for all of them as i will be at home with babytan and i will not be able to commit such high volume of ordering. After the session, hubbytan came and fetch me out to Citysquare's Saizeriya for dinner :)
I noticed that we always tend to order more at Saizeriya as the price is really very decent and furthermore, decent portion as well. Pretty much enjoy the pa-tor-ing session as we know that we might not have the luxury of time when babytan's arrival.
Been wanting to visit the Tiramisu Hero since quite a while back then as it is opened by my ex colleague, Peggy. Very happy that she has managed to fulfill to her dream to open a cafe of hers. Not everyone is as brave as her as she started off with interest and passion only.
The man came and meet me after work for dinner today. Was sharing with him that highly likely i will not able to have many after-work dinner session with him since i will be home starting next week! How exciting it is for the waiting game to start!
Dressed up today to head to the studio for the individual shot before heading out for dinner session. Happy to have met some of the lovely mommies around before we all leave for our own events. The next time we meet, will be where all our +1 will come along. :)
After the shoot, Paul sir brought me to Plaza Sing for dinner and we decided to eat Itacho Sushi! This is also the first time that he is trying this sushi bar and he was impressed at the price and the quality. Pretty expensive place to visit but the quality is really quite awesome! :D
