In this year, we managed to travel to Hong Kong and Malaysia for road trips. In additional, we headed for our advanced diving cert too. Life may be stressful as it is but with my family, things seems a lot easier. While we have Morris, we are happy that we are still spending some couple time to do things on our own. For this, we appreciate grandmaKwan's help to babysit our precious son.
We have also taken the keys for our house and it is in the midst of renovating. Though there are some hiccups during the process of renovating but we believe it will be ready soon and this will be the best gift for the year 2016.
Hope 2017 will continue to be good to us and to you!
Main resolution remains unchanged where i will be hoping for the stability and health for my family. I am still working on some self-searching and hoping i am able to find passion and move towards the goal in life. Perhaps some business? perhaps more time with Morris?
Lesser procrastination is one of the area i wish to improve on. Been running too many thoughts in mind and the bubbles will usually burst towards the end. I hope this year i will DO IT instead of think and think and think non-stop.
JUST DO IT!
END OF 2016: I think i have managed to be more decisive in the way that we headed for diving despite having Morris. And also, the decision to wean Morris off was a smooth journey and this continue to remains as a precious memories of ours.
I have been breastfeeding Morris for the past 14 months and i hope this can continue to breastfeed Morris till he is 18 months old. Although supply has dipped drastically since a couple of months back then and we have started replacing one of his milk feed with fresh milk. I am still enjoying those nursing moments with him. It is so precious and its imprint in my mind as he slowly grows up.
END OF 2016: I decided to wean Morris off breast-feeding when he hit 2 years old as the supply dipped badly since my menses returned. It is like 3 pumps per day is even lesser than 1 bottle feed of his. It was rather stressful at that moment but i am glad Morris accepted Fresh milk well. The transition was good where papaTan managed to bottle fed the last feed daily and we were thereafter nursing for comfort only. The boobs remains precious to him as at times he will request for his "neh neh" while asking me to breastfeed him. Afterwhich, he will just latch on for a couple of seconds while request to switch to another side and this also lasted for a couple of seconds. LOL!
Since we have yet to complete my resolution of heading either Korea or Australia for the year 2015, i will extend this for 2016. Hoping to continue our travelling routine like how we have done so for the past few years. It is really rather tough now since we have Morris by our side and the handling of Morris onboard plane is a real headache. Our encounter to Taiwan with a flight journey of 5 hours requires plenty of attention to Morris. No more resting on-board plane where toddler comes around. I still believe it is good to go travel before Morris turn 2 years old since majority airlines are either free or charge a minimal fee for baby on-board planes.
END OF 2016: Well, we managed to fly to HONG KONG for 10 days during mid year with GrandmaKwan while we covered Malaysia a couple times this year. I am honestly pretty proud that there are total of 13 custom stamps on Morris's passport at the age of 2 years old.
Conceptualize some home decor ideas for our home which is expected to come during the 1st qtr of 2016. We hope we can finalize some basic ideas incorporate some of ours concept to the designers one. Perhaps a walk-in wardrobe? A platform bed? A place call home.
END OF 2016: We ended up only taking our keys during 3rd Quarter 2016 and it is in the midst of renovating right now. We are very proud of the house as we took charge for the interior designs and planning. We have our open-concept kitchen with a big island, platform bed as well as a walk-in wardrobe. :)
Continue my baby-wearing journey before Morris goes all wrap-strike? try new wraps and move old wraps. Always enjoy babywearing Morris and i hope this interest continues to run for the year 2016. Perhaps more handwovens or some really epic purchase will be good to end of the days of babywearing.
END OF 2016: Sadly i do not get to babywear Morris much these days as he is getting a little too heavy. My back is not allowing me to babywear him for long hours no matter how expensive / good quality the carrier is. Furthermore, i would prefer him to walk and run around me as this burns the boy's energy level. He is honestly far too active!!! But at least, i managed to put my hands on some seriously awesome unicorn hair made wraps! LOL! It is like wearing Chanel on me!!! These memories stays for life!!!
