1) Get a gynae that you feel comfortable with
We will be shortlisting a few gynaes and going for the first appointment to see whom we will feel comfortable with.
a. Dr Benjamin Tham based at Thomson Medical Centre, Singapore.
One of them will definitely be the over raving popular Forum has been writing plenty of excellent reviews about him, saying that he has been very patient and friendly, definitely very professional.
b. Dr Wee Horng Yen based at Novena Medical Centre, Singapore
Have been reading on some of the positive reviews for Dr Wee Horng Yen, saying that he is very patient and comfortable to be with. And definitely very responsive to contact with. Some advantage about him is that he is not as busy as compared to Dr Ben Tham whom might need 2 weeks of advanced appointment.
c. Dr Adrian Tan based at Thomson Medical Centre, Singapore
Dr Adrian Tan was recommended by my GP whom used to be a gynae in KKH, suggested Dr Tan saying that he is very friendly, talk alot and make you feel very comfortable. There are some reviews saying that there might be a long wait for his consultation.
d. Dr John Yam based at mt Alvernia, Singapore
Did a google for gynae for Mt Alvernia as Paul Sir seems to like this hospital most since the brothers had their child birth there as well. This Dr Yam was said to be professional and patient as well. Very encouraging and gentle.
e. Dr Kenneth Edward Lee based at Mt Alvernia, Singapore
Paul Sir did a search on the google engine and found Dr Kenneth Edward Lee who has been rather popular on the baby forum. Mentioned that he was humorous and professional gynae who never fails to put a smile on the patient face.
2. Shortlist the hospital that you are comfortable with.
We are comtemplating between Mt Alvernia or Thomson Medical Centre as these two hospitals are the one that our friends and families frequent chosen Maternity hospitals. We did a comparison of prices and look through the forum reviews. We always believe that it is always good to read up on forums and we found out that these two actually provide guided maternity tour and show you the facility in the hospital. We did a comparison between both and realize that TMC is about 500 dollars more expensive as compared to Mt. A.
