To think of, the last time we took the pregnancy shoot and now, our dearest bub is already 8-9 months old. This time round, the mama committee decided on Studio Play for our group shot as they fall in love with the flowerpot shot which is also the studio's signature shot. What we were offered:
1. Baby solo shot in the flowerpot
2. Mama + Baby shot (own outfit)
3. Mama + Baby shot (Group outfit)
Not suitable for big groups
Studio's holding area is really small and it is not really cater for big groups like us. Although we have divided into several sessions with about 5-8 mamas per group, personally i feel that it is still quite cramp to accommodate in the holding area especially when we are all bringing our barangs barangs (exclude the strollers).
Lack of personal touch
The photograph is relatively nice and the helper is helpful in assisting to coax and capture your baby's attention. Just so perhaps i feel that they are lacking a little of the personal touch. The touch that we talk about is to be more friendly to the customers and perhaps, treating them as friend instead of customer? They don't really chat with you and it is more like they just want to get the job done and move on.
Many times i was told to not take any of the behind the scenes as i was told it is sensitive (which i have no idea why). i thought it will be a good memory capture since some of them come alone with the baby for the photo-shoot. I am very sure that what was captured from the Iphone 6 will definitely not win the professional cameras. WHY WORRY THEN?
The photographer will snap a couple of photos and decide the best photos among all that she has snapped but will not show you to see if you are comfortable or like the shot not. It is not a must to do so but since each of us are entitled to one best shot per category, we will hope that it is of something that we like instead.
Lack of backdrop and ideas.
The mama + baby shot (own outfit) is relatively boring as they required us to stand in front of a white background and i assume that they will digitally enhance the image to make it prettier. It is more like just a studio shot instead of those themed shot. Was hoping to see more variety rather than white backdrop though.
I hope the photo will turn out really pretty :DDD
