As i head to bath, i found out that i have "show" symptoms where i was having severe bloody discharge that resembles menses discharge. Quickly bathed and woke PapaTan up to prepare for the hospital. And before that, we headed downstairs for the beehoon breakfast. We were once told that bathing / shampooing of hair and eating the meal are two of the must-do activities before proceeding for delivery. haha!
At the same time, papaTan loves 01.11.14 date so we decided might as well. The breaking of waterbag process was so quick that i did not even noticed it and next moment, uncle Tham told me that "done" and i feel water leaking from my down below.
He goes like saying "PUSHHHHH" and start counting "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, good job!"
Every contraction comes by, i held my breathe and started pushing for at least 3-4 sets of 10 seconds push. From what i recalled, i have had at least 10 contractions which easily means about 30-40 sets of 10 seconds push. Though there is epidural, i could still feel pressurized intensity especially when baby is going through the canal. A negative point about epidural is that it numbs your lower body and you may have a hard time identifying if the push is accurate and whether you are pushing hard enough.
I am glad to be allocated an interesting staff nurse for my delivery as she has let me experience something that i believe, i will never get to feel it again (unless i am trying for #2 and it is her again). She took the mirror out from the drawer, placed it right in front of me, showing me my virginal and telling me that the reddish part with a bush of hair, is my son's head. She actually took my hand over and touch the head of my son. Telling me that i am almost there. @_@ And yes, i am serious at this part.
Finally when uncle Tham came in, the whole labor process expedite itself as i managed to push our precious out within minutes. BabyTan was so precious and his wailing is so loud and clear. Adding on with the look from papaTan which stamp in my heart, i know it is all worth it. :)
