Made a quick search for the hotel, realised that the booked Equatorial hotel was released and available for booking over the weekends. Without much hesitation, we fast hand fast leg booked the hotel for three days. There we go, ready for the trip! Food and relaxation, here we come!
Our plan went on smoothly, we left house at around 0830 and reached TUAS CIQ at 0900. The queue at Singapore Custom was short, we barely took 5 minutes to clear the singapore side. However, the queue at Malaysia Custom was bad. It was an approximately an hour queue to pass the Malaysia CIQ. Once we passed the CIQ, we sped off to our first stop, Yong Peng - Yuan Yuen Fishball Noodle!
Yuan Yean Fishball Eating House 元延正宗永平西刀鱼丸
Address: 123, Main Road, Yong Peng, Johor
Hours: 8:30am to 7:30pm (Closed on alternate Wednesday)
To note that there are alot of imitations of the fishball noodles along the way. It is pretty obvious of which is th original one as you will see the cars and crowd within the shop. There are a caretaker will take guide you to park your vehicles just outside the shop itself. He will take care of your vehicles for you, and alert you if your car is blocking someone else. You can have your meal in peace at least.
As for what to order, you need to try the (1) Fu Zhou Fishballl (2) Fried Tou Fu Skin; (3) Muar Fish otak; and (4) of course the black dry fish noodle. We ordered all those in the photos and it costed about 40-50RM. It's really value for money! Once you filled our stomach, we proceed on to our next destination, MELAKA!
Upon recommendation by the auntie, we picked (1) 2 x Fruit juices; (3) recommended home breed fish and steaming method; (3) Salted egg squid; and (4) Sambal Vegetables. The quality of the food is good., especially the home breed fish that was recommended instead of Groupa that we initially wanted. This homebreed fish only costed half of the price of Groupa. Summing the whole dinner up to around 70RM.
