The Birder's Lodge
Address: 282 หมู่ที่ 10 Tambon Mu Si, Amphoe Pak Chong, Chang Wat Nakhon Ratchasima 30450, Thailand
Mon-Fri: 8.30am – 6pm
Sat-Sun: 8.30am – 10pm
The location has their own parking lots, which i believe probably can house about 10+ cars, and here is located pretty close to the Primo Piazza.
To note, there is actually lodging here, but we did not manage to see the houses. Not too sure where are they.
Birder's Lodge Farmers' Marketplace
Palio Piazza
Primo Piazza itself has many scenic locations for photoshoot. You can see from our photos below, and we were lucky that we were probably the first few to enter and we had the opportunities to take panorama view of the place. The place is pretty small and you could finish the place within 30mins. Feeling hot, you can drop by the Primo Cafe to chill, before you depart the place.
In summary, this is one of the only few attractions that requires entrance fees. But we felt that you should pay here a visit, to see the alpaca which we don't have in our Singapore Zoo, and for the well-maintained European town (there is still the free Palio Village which we will cover in another post, which we thought is not as nice as Primo Piazza).
Lunch @ Ban Mai Chay Nam Restaurant
21, Mittaphap Road, Tambon Pak Chong, Amphoe Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima, 30130, Thailand
Opens Daily 10am to 10pm
The road to the museum is a one-lane road, which offers two ways traffic. Do be aware when you are travelling towards the museum, as you might seem to reach a weird road. The parking are located near the museum, that holds probably about 20+ cars. There are also attendant that will usher you to park, and then carry a giant umbrella to shelter you to the museum. Do note that you should tip the guy, as the first guy that sheltered us to the museum looked pretty upset when we did not tip him, whereas the guy whom sheltered us back to car was profusely thanking us when we tipped him.
This museum is pretty big, which you could probably even get lost while walking around. PapaTan told a quick walk around the area, and he said that there were really alot of old school toys, figuring, statues, displays around the whole area. There is also a gift shop in this museum, but they are selling recent toys and not the retro toys. In front of the gift shop, there are retro arcade machines which you can play in. If any of the machines malfunction, just go to the counter and inform the lady, and she will refund you the money. KorkorTan actually put money to play the foosball machine, but the machine was not functioning. The lady could also change money for you, as you need the 10B coin to play the machines.
Over the dining area, you can actually see the small river, and if you see further west-wards, you can occasionally spot people walking along some culvert, and soaking their feet in the water. We did not attempt to figure out how to reach there, you could probably find you own way!
The Ozone
Wang Sai, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima 30130, Thailand
The journey to The Ozone was hilarious. GPS guided us to go through many farm roads, literally farm roads which you should see tractor moving on it instead of cars. PapaTan advice for all is that, check the GPS route first before going to The Ozone. There are actually bigger roads that lead to The Ozone, check your map first!
Nonetheless, The Ozone is located pretty secluded from rest of the attractions. The Ozone has a guardhouse located far from the hotel. PapaTan upon questioned on our intent, a simple "we are checking in", gotten us through the guard in seconds. So you could probably use this same reason to enter into The Ozone.
The Ozone is castle-themed hotel, which really provides a castle stay feel for the occupants. This hotel also features a golf course (we don't know how many holes), and a really nice looking spa. Tips: There are welcome drinks at the lobby area. You can take it =).
Dinner @ Midwinter Green
The restaurant provides both indoor aircon and outdoor dining area. Unless you want to experience the outdoor atmosphere with the live band, the indoor dining area is well decorated, and provides a more comfortable environment to dine in this hot weather. Even if you are sitting indoor, you can still roam around the area, taking photos of the remarkable landscape, in which we did.
