Legoland
Address: 7, Jalan Legoland, Medini, 79250 Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia
Quick getting ready, and we took a 10-15 minutes drive, towards Legoland, and reached the mega carpark after we saw the legoland on our left. We reached the car park and we were shocked, there were little cars there. We managed to park our car at the first lot, just at the walkway towards the legoland (centre of the carpark). We were glad that we decided to come on a weekday, as there was little crowd, and hopefully our stay here would be nice (indeed it was, there were little patrons inside and almost 0-5 minutes waiting time for all our games/ rides.
From the carpark area, it was another 5 minutes walk to the entrance of legoland. Do note that the car park accepts TnG card, and along the walk to legoland, you will see a top up machine, in the middle of a round-about.
A quick tip, you should look up Klook for legoland tickets, as the site is reliable, and the prices are cheaper. Also, it is more convenient in the sense that you do not have to queue up to purchase the tickets, if just so happened that the queue was long during the weekends.
Ok now, watch out for the several attractions that we went to for the day! Do note that the attractions are not posted pretty much in order, as we were lazy to re-arrange them as we have already added the information and photos on them. But pretty much, they are located just side by side and our guide will provide a sequential approach to clear legoland in an anti-clockwise direction.
Some quick information kits before you all depart on your trip to legoland.

1. Roaming Lego Mascots
2. Driving Course
This is probably one of the best places in Legoland, cuz this place is air-conditioned and the air-con was pretty cooling during our visit there. Hence, you might want to plan your journey well, to take a pitstop at this location and enjoy the show for 30 mins.
The show is a live puppet show, with people dressed in black suits, controlling the big-sized puppets on stage. The story line is kinda normal, about fighting some monsters as always, but i must say this will be a must watch in legoland as the synchronisation of the puppets to the music and plot were amazing. BabyTan enjoyed the show alot, watching the ninjago flying here and there, and the great sound and visual effects.
The boating school is located in between the Lego City Stage and the Driving School. The kid and accompanying adult are allowed to navigate a boat through the river circuit. The whole journey took about 10 minutes, and this is definitely a good experience for the kids to actually sail a "speedboat".
This is a fire fighting session! You are to push the lever on the individual rescue vehicle, and then reach to the on-fire building and use the water gun to put on the fire!
For this station, i would actually advise that your kids should be of certain size and maturity. This station requires coordination between the adult and the kid in pumping the lever to move the vehicle towards the "on-fire" building. Thereafter, you need to pump the water pump at the building, to shoot water out from the water hose, onto designated windows to save the civilians inside. Finally, you need to mount the vehicle again and pump the lever to allow your vehicle back to the original startstate. We must admit that this game is tiring. PapaTan was sweating when he came back from the station.
This is basically a round-and-round air ride. Honestly, this is kinda fast for small kids, and not really that fun as it just go round and round and round. Just here to clock the mile
This is a kid's ride, and it drives into a tunnel whereas you will have to use your attached gun in front of you, to shoot the sensors on the wall. Not bad for kids as this is a shooting game. The ride is pretty short and there is no storyline for this ride (not as i can see as i were busy shootting the sensors on the wall with babyTan).
This is one of the better rides, and i suppose this is a must go for your trip to Legoland. Despite the mini-mishap (the machine failed to operate and we were stuck inside the tunnel for 5-10mins), the game is pretty fun with its 3D vision and moving rides (akin to the transformer ride in our Singapore USS). How this game works is that there is a sensor in front of you, and you are supposed to move your hand as though you are throwing a shuriken towards targets projected on the floor. This is honestly much more fun than the lost kingdom ride. At the end of the game, you will still be able to take a family shot, which was captured while you were playing the game, at the end of the whole ride.
This looks like a splendid water ride but we did not take this ride as we were not prepared to get wet. We saw one time of this playing, and confirmed that you will definitely get wet in this game. Hence, if you are preparing to play this, please prepare your poncho/ extra clothing for change.
For this game, it's basically sitting on the toy horse, and it will gallop with the kid on top, at a designated track. For this game, it is recommended that your kid should be of certain age, as he will have to sit alone, and there is no ways for parent to follow him.
Surprisingly, babyTan loved this game alot, and he even went to re-queue up again upon exiting his first ride. As we were too far from him, we decided to let him just go ahead, but told him that this is the last time as we still have other places to cover. It looks pretty boring from the adult's len, but i think kids will love it alot as this allows
Finally, we went to the imagination land, and the pizza mania for our breakfast. We picked this location purely because that the eatery is air-conditioned. To our huge surprise, actually this place also served pretty good food. We ordered pizza, chicken wings, pasta, and a kid meal for babyTan. The bill summed up to about 150rm, which we felt was pretty reasonable given the fact that we were dining in legoland. The food is pretty good, which we felt that the pizza and chicken wings are actually the best.
I'm not sure this is a norm or what, we realised that after our first order, we were given a discount voucher. In which, we immediately used the voucher for our second purchase as we dont think we will be coming back to legoland anytime soon, and we do not want to waste the voucher., That's why we had the chicken wings, which we remembered that it was almost half priced due to the vouchers. So if you are dining in pizza mania, you should take note of this hack!
After our lunch, babyTan forced us to go back to a playground that he saw on our way for lunch. And hence, we are back here. This is a miniature land, and the structures inside are made of enlarged lego bricks. In the land, there are multiple slides available for the kids, and a mini lego train ride within. Nothing much too fantastic, just to tick this off the legoland sites!
We did not take any photos for the 4D studio and observation tower. Observation tower was under maintenance during our trip here. Hence, we did not go up.
As for the 4D studio, there is actually a show every hour from 11am to 5pm during weekdays, and every 30mins from 11am to 630pm during weekends. There are a total of 4 shows, rotating amongst the stipulated timings, i.e. Show 1 at 11am, show 2 at 12pm and so on. This is akin to the USS's 4D show for the shrek, where you need to wear the 3D glasses, and will experience effects such as water and such. The chairs did not move though, which we do not know is malfunctioning or they were just designed not to move.
We only caught one show to experience the feel, and did not catch all the 4 shows as we felt it will affect our progress. But do remember to reach there earlier to queue to go in.
We heard this is one of the most exciting rides in legoland for kids. But do note that there are both age and height restrictions for this ride. The kid must be 6 year old, and above 120cm. As babyTan could not meet the requirements, we gave this ride a miss.
This is a larger playground, with slides and pretty much of climbing to be done. BabyTan enjoyed this playground alot, climbing and walking through the ladders, and sliding down the long slide.
If your kid cannot meet the requirements for the dragon ride, there is a smaller version one located just slightly clockwise. This one is less thrilling, but i think enough for young kid. PapaTan is a not a ride person, but he took with BabyTan as MamaTan cannot take ride at the moment.
Funny throwback is that, PapaTan told BabyTan that he was scared, and BabyTan reply was that he will take care of daddy and asked him not to be scared. That's pretty sweet of him. However, it turned out that PapaTan survived the ride (the ride is pretty low level anyway, nothing much for adults), and babyTan seemed pretty worn out. When PapaTan asked whether BabyTan enjoyed the ride, his reply was YES! But when PapaTan asked whether he wanted to go again, his reply was a straight no. It was pretty amusing then!
I heard this is a new addition to the Legoland. Not a place for ride, but a walk-through of newly done up star wars figuring (they are huge) which we believe that you will like it if you are a starwars fan. However, as none of us is, we took a quick walk through the tunnel, and completed the starwars tour.
So, we reached the final attraction for our day, the miniature lego world, which displays some of the signature malaysia and singapore attractions. The miniature world is pretty amazing, and you should really visit them. Some of the figuring have some buttons for you to press, and water will shoot out from the figuring. Do note this, in case you just nice stand in the way of the water and get yourself wet. Quick tip is that look at the floor, you should see water marks, which will demarcate the direction and extent of water power, for you to note and get out of the danger area!
Quick summary:
1. I think its good to go during the weekdays to avoid the crowd. As our visit has no crowd, we managed to clock most of the attractions without much waiting time, and gotten out of legoland at around 5pm.
2. You need not stay at the legoland hotel. The hotel at Puteri harbour is about 5-10 mins drive away, and the traffic is really good. So, you might want to consider this as an alternative, instead of staying at the expensive legoland hotel. Of course the legoland is lego-theme, and might be more meaningful to stay there. Hence, you have to balance your monetary vs experience. (You could view our day 1 post over here! We spoke about Hotel Jen in that post)
3. Always cater some time in Malaysia for your legoland trip. I.e., spend one night in Malaysia, and go legoland in the second day, then one more day in Malaysia to rest. If not, you gonna probably be rushing here and there and will not have a good experience.
Ok, catch our next post on Hello Kitty Land and Thomas Town! We covered those areas in this trip as well! Thanks for reading!
